Bromeliads, by Faye Suzannah, BA6 9DZ
The corner of Glastonbury's Lambrook Street and High Street is now defined by its vivid pink and green mural artwork. Titled “Bromeliads,” the artwork is by local artist Faye Suzannah, and was created in 2024 as part of the Glastonbury Mural Trail to celebrate "Glastonbury in Bloom."
Suzannah’s mural is more than surface decoration. It directly references a 1960s flower-painted shopfront that once stood nearby. Not a direct recreation of that shop, Faye Suzannah instead reshapes her inspiration using sharper definition, heightened colour, and a layout intended to read clearly at street scale.
You can buy an art print of the 1960's flower shop from the See Glastonbury Shop.
